Nakiska Ski Area announces plans for summer activities in 2027

These plans assembled by the Resorts of Canadian Rockies (RCR) include mountain bikes trails, hiking trails, sightseeing spots and a 970-metre long gravity assisted coaster that will operate out of the winter tubing area.

The plans don’t include just any old mountain bike trails, but ones that were designed in part by former pro mountain biker Matt Hadley in Canmore. The decision for summer opening comes after the Alberta government announced 3 all-season resorts, this one, Castle, and Fortress.

RCR says the planned additions will remain entirely within the existing Nakiska lease on Crown land set aside for recreation.
