The Southern Alberta Hockey Academy has multiple names in multiple categories being recognized this week as the Canadian Sport School of Hockey began rolling out it’s list of nominees. SAHA also had a strong alumni showing with NHL Central scouting. Some Southern Alberta prospects like former Medicine Hat Tiger Gavin McKenna sits number one, defensemen Riley Steen is ranked 146, and forward Kadon McCann is ranked at 185. Another Medicine Hat local Josh Evaschesen comes in at 187, and Lethbridge Hurricane Gavin Lesiuk ranks 189th.

Southern Alberta players were all over the nominees list as well, with representation in the U18 Prep, U17 Prep, a top goalie and two rookies made the list, a men’s u15 rookie (born 2012), and a women’s U18 rookie (2010 born).
