A round dance in Mînî Thnî promises healing and remembrance through a missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit peoples focused event on May 2nd. A variety of events are taking place during the round dance, which kicks off at 3pm.

The event is hosted by Eagle’s Nest Stoney Family Shelter, and CJWE had the chance to speak with Candace Alexander-Hunt about the round dance and some details about the day.

We asked about the importance of dances in honor of MMIWG2S and what it means to Candace.

The round dance kicks off in the Mînî Thnî Gymnasium on May 2nd, more details can be found on the Eagle’s Nest Stoney Family Shelters Facebook page.
