The Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump World Heritage Site will be the home to an upcoming event called Stones and Bones. As time passes, erosion, wind patterns and extreme weather can uncover artifacts. Stones and Bones offers the public a chance to meet with paleontologists and archaeologists to help identify and date any and all treasures found below the Earth.

CJWE got to speak with Samantha Westerhoud, the VP of the Archaeological Society of Alberta, and asked about why Stones and Bones is important.

We got to ask Samantha about the importance of having people out and looking for artifacts.

Samantha also shared about the importance of archaeologists and paleontologists work.

The event kicks off Saturday April 25th at 10am, and again on Sunday at 11am. Activities for kids and families will be on site as well. For more info, you can click here.
