Tsuu’tina Health and Wellness Services, Tsuu’tina Nation Police, and the Tsuu’tina Youth Advisory Committee are inviting community members to the MMEIP Walk on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., raising awareness for Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous People. The walk begins at the Bullhead Community Centre and ends at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex, with lunch, guest speakers, and sweaters provided to participants.
Garett Simeon, Wellness Team Lead with Tsuu’tina Health and Wellness Services, spoke with CJWE on the importance of the walk in raising awareness about MMEIP and fostering community healing moving forward.
Simeon adds the 20-30 minute walk will begin at the Bullhead Community Centre and concludes at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex, where participants will be fed lunch and receive a sweater and hear from guest speakers.
