Calling Indigenous Innovators: Siksika Nation Hosts Entrepreneur Workshop

By Benjamin Gerow Apr 29, 2026 | 11:54 AM

The first ever Siksika Entrepreneurship Workshop is slated to kick off Friday, May 8th at 10am. The event, taking place at the Siksika Deerfoot Sportsplex, promises to be a networking opportunity for Indigenous people regardless of the stage of their business. The workshop will feature presentations from partnering organizations, and a presentation from two Indigenous business owners with more than 20 years of experience.

We got to speak with Hannah Owl Child, the Entrepreneur Support Specialist with the Economic Development office about the event, and who should attend.

Heather told CJWE about the different partner organizations slated to attend.

We asked Heather about what newcomers can expect at the event.

More information on the event can be found here, and more information about the Community Spring Market will follow, with everyone invited to attend and support local vendors.
