AFCC’s Third Annual Red Dress Traditional Powwow Coming to Big Four Building

The third annual Red Dress Powwow is set for May 8th.

Hosted by the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC), the Red Dress Powwow offers a chance for everybody to come down and honour culture and ceremony.

CJWE had Siksapiakii/Elder Krista White, who supports Culture Reconnection and Language programming with AFCC, and one of the organizers for The Third Annual Red Dress Traditional Powwow in studio to tell us more:

Everyone is encouraged to come down and partake in a moment of remembrance and unity as we honour Indigenous women and girls.

The Red Dress Traditional Powwow will take place May 8th, from 6pm to 10pm, at the Big Four in Calgary.
