The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden officially opened for spring on May 7, offering residents a chance to experience Japanese culture in Lethbridge.
Eric Granson, the Marketing and Sales Manager at the garden, tells CJWE that the city has the third-highest population of second-generation Japanese Canadians, which is why the garden was established back in 1967.
Granson mentioned that they hold two festivals each month, as the garden is well-known in Japan. He expressed his excitement about the garden’s reopening for the spring season.
