Coming out of beautiful British Colombia, the award-winning Jojo Mason is one of the coolest country artists – in my personal opinion – and it’s always so great to catch up with him!
The question that drives JoJo Mason’s approach to both music and life is simple: “Why not?” Over the past decade in the Canadian country music scene, he has been on a relentless pursuit to find his unique voice, connect with fans, and stay true to himself. Along the way, JoJo has earned six Top 10 singles, achieved CRIA Gold certification for “Better On You,” received multiple CCMA Award nominations, and surpassed 50 million career streams. JoJo just recently released his “Gold” EP, featuring six new tracks that push the boundaries of the country genre. He was also the recipient of the 2026 BCCMA Video of the Year Award for the title track. (Warner Music Canada/604 Records)
This time, I had the chance to catch up with him about his new EP “Gold” (released April 22, 2026). It’s a solid gold record! It’s soulful, meaningful, but also fun and you’re going to love it.
