A Calgary man is facing charges after a drug‑trafficking investigation on Tsuut’ina Nation led to his arrest and the seizure of thousands of dollars’ worth of illegal substances.
According to Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service (TNPS), officers launched an investigation into a man who had been making repeated visits to the Nation and was believed to be selling drugs within the community. After gathering evidence, TNPS partnered with the Alberta Sheriffs and Calgary Police Service (CPS) to move in on the suspect.
On May 12, officers arrested 36‑year‑old Troy Morrison of Calgary. He has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
As the investigation continued, police executed a search warrant at Morrison’s Calgary residence. Inside, officers seized an estimated $10,000 worth of drugs, along with multiple cell phones, cash, a drug ledger and debt list, a replica firearm, hydromorphone, drug‑packaging materials, and digital scales.
