Parts of Grassi Lakes Trail has been closed until further notice according to Alberta Parks, due to a rock slide in the area. The rock slide occurred Wednesday, and no injuries were reported.
The rock slide is currently affecting the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park, Grassi Lakes Day Use, Grassi Lakes Interpretative Trail, and the Grassi Lakes Upper Trail and Reclaimer Trail.
The Grassi Lakes Interpretive Trail, Upper Trail and Reclaimer Trail are also closed as assessments are made on the rockslide impact.
For travelers, the road between the Grassi Lakes turnoff and the top of the hill are also closed due to conditions after the slide.
