Siksika Family Services is hosting their annual Father’s Day Fishing Derby on Father’s Day, at the Little Chicago Bridge on Siksika Nation.
Transportation, equipment, food and good vibes are all provided at this event.
For the team at Siksika Family Services, these events are the perfect opportunity for families going through tough times to come together and celebrate for a day. When working in family services, not every family is doing well, so these events where family is celebrated is very important.
We got to talk with Holly Solway, support worker with Siksika Family Services about this event.
We asked about the importance of getting multiple generations together for an event.
