The 2026 Calgary Stampede is celebrating strong turnout and positive visitor experience.
The results are in for the 2026 edition of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
The Calgary Stampede released its final attendance result on Monday morning, saying 1,411,954 guests visited the event during the 10-day period.
Officials say 122,559 people attended the grounds on Sunday.
The Calgary Stampede is calling its 2026 edition a success, with CEO Joel Cowley saying the quality of the visitor experience mattered more than attendance alone. Mid-Stampede surveys found 91 per cent of guests said the event met or exceeded expectations, while 86 per cent planned to return and 94 per cent would recommend it to others.
About 30 per cent of visitors came from outside Calgary with nearly one in four visitors experiencing the Stampede for the first time.
While acknowledging affordability remains a concern for many Albertans, Cowley said free admission days and community events across the city help make the Stampede more accessible.
