A new TV series titled “Wildflower” is set to begin production in southern Alberta later this month and is actively casting extras for various roles.

The project, produced by a “large streaming Network” will film in Calgary, Nanton, and the Priddis/Millarville areas.

Shooting is scheduled from the end of July through the end of October 2026.

The series aims to capture a “modern-day, small-town Montana vibe.

Producers are looking for adults of all ethnicities, aged 18 to 80, to portray ranchers, cowgirls, and townsfolk. High school students aged 14 to 17 of all ethnicities are also encouraged to apply.

Alberta continues to attract major streaming productions.

A Netflix series starring Melissa McCarthy, also filmed in the province, is set to premiere this winter.
