The 2026 Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede officially begins Wednesday, with gates opening at noon.
This year’s theme, Endless Summer, sets the tone for four days of rodeo action, family entertainment, and live music running through Saturday.
Gate admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under .
Wednesday features a special Double Toonie Day from noon to 3 p.m., offering admission for just $4. The promotion returns on Friday, when kids receive free admission during the same afternoon window.
The West Coast Amusements midway opens daily at noon and runs until midnight.
- Prairie Dogs – Catch this popular fire event starting at 12:30 p.m. in the grass areas east of the Stampede Office.
- Petting Zoo – Opens at 1 p.m. at the South Country Co-op Pioneer Village (Southeast Corner).
- High Dive Act – Performs at 1:15 p.m. on the South Free Stage.
The evening entertainment kicks off at 8 p.m. at the Stampede Grandstand with Canadian rock legend Tom Cochrane headlining. Barney Bentall opens the show.
Johnny Reid and Morgan Klaiber perform on Saturday night.
