Culture Camp in Tsuut’ina is ongoing this week, and started on August 4th. The camp had 30 spots available, and offers language learning, tipi teaching and seasonal lessons from elders.
The camp is put together through the support of Tsuut’ina Nation Police, Tsuut’ina Health and Wellness, Child and Family Services and more.
The kids get fed, the opportunity to learn and will be playing and learning traditional games as the week goes on.
With each day, more youth are showing up, and could inspire other culture camps to occur in other seasons, and more frequently.
We got to sit down with Cieran Starlight, the Community Language Coordinator, and asked her about some more details on what the kids are up to.
We asked about the remaining registration spots.
