Reports of a black bear getting into residents garbage’s in Diamond Valley prompted a bear trap from Alberta Fish and Wildlife, which was placed last week.
Now, the trap is being moved after having no luck in it’s first location. The trap is being moved to a new location, at the end of Okalta Road on August 24th, according to the town.
Wildlife officers are currently monitoring the trap, and are asking residents to stay clear, keep pets on a leash, and any wildlife attractants like food, compost or pet foods should be securely stored.
Bear sightings or concerns about wildlife activity can be reported to the Report A Poacher line at 1-800-642-3800.
