Indie Rodeo is a brand-new, two-day conference for game makers, publishers and artists alike. The Indie Rodeo promises the Game Business Bootcamp, Game Maker Talks, the Games Showcase and even features an after-party once the conference wraps up. The conference kicks off this Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th.
During Game Business Bootcamp talks, which take place Friday, attendees can listen to talks about self-publishing, finding success as a small developer, and lessons on getting game funding.
The second day features the Game Maker talks, and topics include contracts, Steam sale tips, freelancing tips, and making gameplay moments stick.
Edmonton, Calgary and other Canadian cities will be represented, and studios that brought you games like Among Us, Peak, Angry Birds and even Hollow Knight will be attending.
There will also be opportunities to playtest games at the conference, some of which don’t even have release dates. Mars mission-control simulator games, turn based RPG’s, and co-op adventure games will be on the showcase floor. Check out a full list here, with links to their Steam pages, websites and some games even have links to try them right now.
Passes to attend are still available, and are $140 for both days. It provides access to both days, the afterparty, and the games showcase.
