Organizers of Dr. Giggles House of Pain plan to assemble a large zombie contingent for this year’s Chestermere Country Fair parade and are actively recruiting participants.
Mike Koroll, who performs as Dr. Giggles, is inviting community members to join the undead ranks.
“We wanted to come back in a big way. We’re always trying to find new tricks, new things to get everyone excited.”
Rather than identical costumes, the organizers hope for a varied mix of zombies that reflect different backgrounds and styles. Professional makeup will be available on site ahead of the parade.
Anyone interested in taking part can contact Koroll through the Dr. Giggles House of Pain Facebook page.
The same group is also seeking help with building sets, running the haunted attraction, and supporting local efforts such as collecting food donations for the Chestermere Food Bank.
Opening night is set for October 15, and tickets are already on sale via the House of Pain website.
Organizers are also exploring the possibility of a more affordable Halloween-night option, potentially priced around $10 and paired with a donation to the food bank.
