A new residential development is planned for north Lethbridge, where it will add 115 rental units to the city’s housing supply adjacent to MyCityCare’s local office.

Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce CEO Cyndi Crane tells CJWE that a shortage of safe, affordable housing actively discourages new professionals from relocating to the city — while expanding that supply would remove a major barrier and help attract them.
The project is estimated to cost between $50 million and $60 million. MyCityCare is financing the development through a combination of private donations and loans, with contributions specifically designated to help reduce living costs for future residents.
Construction of the first 28 units is scheduled for completion by next summer.
