After a 9-9 season, the Calgary Stampeders will be unable to play in the Grey Cup taking place in Calgary in November.
The Stamps needed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to lose their October 23rd match up with the BC Lions in order to make the post-season on a tiebreaker, but the Blue Bombers defeated the Lions 34-10, sealing the fate of the Stampeders.
The Stampeders came close as the season came to an end, winning four of their final five games.
There were positives however, QB Vernon Adams put up some of his best career numbers this season, which included 36 touchdown passes, with only six interceptions. Jalen Philpot also had a career season, with more than 1,200 yards and eight touchdowns.
Looking forward, there will be more CFL action for Calgarians, as the Grey Cup festival begins November 11th to the 15th, with the actual game where the championship will be won, taking place on Sunday November 15th
