Stampede goers will be in for a treat as the magic of Disney will be joining the magic of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. This immersive experience will take the kids and kids at heart into the world of Disney Animation Studios.
Lighthouse Immersive Studios, known for their experiential projection exhibitions including the Immersive Van Gogh exhibition which came to Calgary in 2022, is bringing the magic of Disney animation to the Calgary Stampede.
The collaboration between Lighthouse and Disney Animation will be bringing classics like Lion King, Peter Pan, and Pinocchio to the illuminated experience along with modern hits like Encanto, Zootopia and Frozen.
Along with the innovative light display the experience will be enhanced with special bracelets which will light up coordinated with the projections as audiences move throughout the gallery and may experience stunning moments as 500,000 cebic feet of the gallery are filled with bubbles.
Disney is no stranger to the Calgary Stampede as back in 1965 Walt Disney lead the Stampede Parade as its Marshal and in later years both Mini and Mickey Mouse both served as Marshals more than once.
This experience will be taking place at the BMO Centre June 12 and run until August 18.
