Call for Indigenous Vendors
June is the start of National Indigenous Peoples History Month. The Town of Okotoks is planning to commemorate the Tipi transfer that took place on June 3, 2023, and kick off
National Indigenous Peoples History Month with a “Tipi Camp” and the 2nd annual all- Indigenous Artisan Market, “Iitohpoom’op,” which translates to “store".
The Tipi Camp will be set up in an area close to the Okotoks Recreation Centre (99 Okotoks Drive). Set up for the Camp will begin on Friday, May 31 at 8:00 a.m. and take down will
begin on Sunday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. The all-Indigenous Artisan Market will take place inside the Okotoks Recreation Centre and will operate on Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
