Martin Desjarlais was born into a musical family and discovered his love for country music at a young age. He grew up listening to his father and aunts who were part of the Indigenous music circuit throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s. Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr. and Sr. are some of Martin’s inspirations along with singers like Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks and Dwight Yoakam.
