Saturday March 23 is going to be a busy day in the City of Lethbridge as the Walking Together Showcase and Aisoksistawataiya Powwow bring the community together to celebrate culture while creating local awareness.
Walking Together is focused on gathering the community of Lethbridge together to engage in conversations about Indigenous culture while promoting Indigenous businesses with a market.
The Aisoksistawataiya Powwow is about uplifting the next generation to embrace their culture to find themselves through dance and ceremony.
CJWE spoke with Theron Black of the Honouring Traditions and Reconciliation Society and Jocelyn Davis of Opokaa’sin Early Intervention Society about how the two events came together as one.
