Users of the Fish Creek Public Library will have the chance to learn about Fire Safety and see if they have what it takes to be a firefighter in Calgary.
In partnership with the Calgary Fire Department, the Calgary Public Library Foundation obtained the decommission engine 23 as part of their program at the old central library where it called home until it closed in 2016.
The engine was in storage until July of 2023 where it was relocated to the newly renovated Fish Creek Public Library with its new launch taking place on April 20.
Mary Kapusta of the Calgary Public Library spoke with CJWE about the engine and the programing that will be taking place around it.
Calgary Public Library wants to remind Calgarians that cards expire every three years and encourage members to check their expiry dates so they can continue to access the many recourses offed by Calgary Public Library.
All programing taking place at the Public Libraries across the city of Calgary can be found on the Library’s website.
