The Town of Taber is widely known for its famous corn and agricultural practices but on May 11 to 12, it will be holding it’s very first competition Powwow.
The Powwow is part of the Town’s way of bringing the many communities of Lethbridge County together through a celebration of culture.
CJWE spoke with Mayor of Taber Andrew Prokop, Lisa Sowinski of Eagle Spirit Community Association in Taber and Founder of Honouring Traditions and Reconciliation Society Theron Black to learn about how the Powwow came together.
Find out more information about the Powwow on the CJWE events calendar.
