Work on the Bearspaw South Feeder Main will cause water restrictions in Calgary.
According to a news release from the city, an update will be provided to Calgarians today regarding the Bearspaw South Feeder Main construction project, and some water restrictions that are needed to finish and support the work.
The update is set to be provided by Mayor Jeromy Farkas, and city official Michael Thompson. Thompson has been relaying information regarding the project for most of the year, and will present the latest information.
The feeder mains replacement is set to be completed in December, and as of late September, 80% of the new pipe was already installed. The city says the new feeder main will need to be shut down in order to connect a new pipe to the water network, and so Stage 4 outdoor water restrictions, as well as indoor water conservation methods will be needed.
